Introduction

I bumped into somebody today online that had some great looking websites, much better than my own in house designs that I am able to create. They had some tools on the site that would have been invaluable to me had I come across them earlier. I did search long and hard for exactly this type of tool.

It isnt a new situation. Design and seo are basically different animals so to speak and mastering both of them is likely to very difficult due to lack of man hours as much as anything else.

I know I must spend 30 hrs a week simply keeping up to date with analytics reports and measuring conversions and checking usability. There is no way I can also put enough hrs into new areas of coding or design to be anywhere near competent.

I have a few ideas and areas of websites that could really use some clever design work or a useful tool for my viewers but with no way of measuring return of investment it can be difficult for certain people to get this funding from company bosses or indeed cannot afford to pay out for more tech and design guys, particularly in the current economic climate.

So it makes perfect sense for the seo guys, like myself, to consult and advise on the marketing and seo side of things in exchange for design and code work dont you think?

i.e. I assist you optimise your website to be the best it can be, be it usability ideas, marketing ideas, navigation structure or basic seo practices and you build and design the elements I need to expand or improve my own interests.

From personal experience I can tell you that paying a so called internet marketer can be a total rip off. I have worked, very briefly, for reasonably large seo companies that charge thousands of euros a month for various packages that quite frankly aint worth 'jack'  Im pretty sure that it must be the same in design circles.

So to break that down I simply would like members to be genuine givers with something to offer. To build relationships that are based on exchanging thier knowledge as oppose to each charging the other for thier services.

So if you have a fancy website and no traffic or a ranking website but crumby design, let us all know about it.
